Work has started on an £80 million expansion project for the Belfry Hotel & Resort in the West Midlands. The project, due for completion in autumn 2025, will include an 852 m² flagship event space, The Masters Suite, built and designed to accommodate 648 guests for banquets with a maximum capacity of 920, making it perfect for conferences and product launches , mini-exhibitions and weddings. .

Commenting on the project, Chris Eigelaar, Resort Director, told us: “The commencement of work on site is an important moment for the entire team at The Belfry, following years of planning behind the scenes. Work on the new Masters Suite and wider renovation is already progressing at a significant pace and it is exciting to see the progress being made every day.

“We are experiencing an increasing demand for major events in the luxury venue market from both new and existing customers. With the Masters Suite we can organize large events that we have not been able to organize before.

“The Masters Suite and adjoining bedrooms will transform our offering by providing a dedicated space for the meetings, incentives, conferences and events market. It will also be the perfect luxury venue for large weddings. We look forward to building on our reputation as an excellent business, leisure and golf destination.”

The interior of the suite is inspired by the colors of the resort’s green surroundings, with soft green tones, complemented by gold accents. Large floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views over Brabazon Golf Course, flooding the space with natural light and making it a striking backdrop for any event.

At 852 square meters, the Masters Suite can also be divided into smaller spaces, allowing for flexibility and versatility. Featuring a large pre-function space including a mezzanine floor, outdoor terrace and boardroom, and located opposite The Green, our versatile outdoor team building space, it has been designed to meet the diverse needs of clients, organizers and delegates. Visitors can also benefit from a further 80 electric vehicle charging points and free on-site parking.

In addition, 149 spacious bedrooms will be built in an adjacent building and many other parts of the resort will be renovated. The resort will be home to a new Leisure Club with a large swimming pool and family-friendly slide, swim lane and indoor and outdoor hot tubs. With extensive fitness rooms, four studios and a large multi-functional sports area, the new Leisure Club offers members and guests an unparalleled fitness experience.

Some of the resort improvements that are part of the overall redevelopment project have already been completed. These include the renovation of existing bedrooms, the construction of two new outdoor event spaces, Terrace on the 10th and The Green, and a stylishly redesigned Brabazon Bar and Lobby.
