Agra (Uttar Pradesh) (India), April 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday accused the Congress party of conspiring to secretly take away the rights of OBCs, SCs and STs.
Addressing an election rally in Agra, Prime Minister Modi said that the Karnataka Congress government has secretly deprived the rights of OBCs and they want to do the same to OBCs, SCs and STs wherever they come to power.
“The Congress government in Karnataka has overnight converted all the Muslim castes in Karnataka into OBCs by stamping a paper and directing them to become the owners of this 27 percent and loot it. They have deprived the rights of the OBCs. Congress plans to do that. are playing the same game in UP, to achieve the same feat, wherever they get an opportunity in the country, they secretly want to rob the rights of the OBCs, SCs and STs from the back door and give them away. the Samajwadi Party also fully supports them,” the Prime Minister said at a rally in Agra.
The Prime Minister also accused the Congress of advocating religion-based reservations despite judicial restrictions.
“The same Congress has repeatedly advocated reservations on the basis of religion in their manifestos, both in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The nation’s Constitution and courts have repeatedly barred Congress from doing so, rejecting every argument they have made. They have now decided to grant reservations on the basis of religion, and for this they have found a way to steal from the 27 percent quota for OBCs, quietly snatch them away and grant reservations on the basis of religion,” said he.
The Prime Minister said the politics of appeasement has divided the nation into pieces.
“In our country we have seen a lot of politics of appeasement, which has divided the nation into pieces. The politics of appeasement has drowned out what is honest and truthful. Our path is not one of reconciliation; it is one of contentment.” he said.
The Prime Minister also accused the Samajwadi Party and the Congress’s INDI alliance of appeasement politics.
“The Samajwadi Party and the Congress INDI alliance are deeply involved in appeasement politics. The manifesto released by Congress for the 2024 elections has the full endorsement of the Muslim League. The entire Congress manifesto is solely dedicated to strengthening their vote bank. Our manifesto is dedicated to strengthen the nation,” he said.
Launching an attack on the Congress party, Prime Minister Modi said, “Since Independence, it has been clear that India will never make reservations on the basis of religion; this was decided after discussions in the Constituent Assembly, which was led by Babasaheb Ambedkar. However, Congress is one such party that insults Ambedkar every day, disrespects the Constitution and tears up the structure of the Constitution. social justice.”
